Are you unsure where that utility line is located?
Using Hydro Excavation, also known as Vacuum Excavation, for trenching is the most cost effective way to either "clear" an area, or search for a utility line where the location is unknown.
Slot trenches are usually 6" wide and up to 8' deep which allows for as little material to be removed as possible while still enabling us to see to the bottom of the trench. Similar to using hydro excavation services for potholing, if a line is deeper than 8', the trench needs to get proportionally wider for the operator to see and function. As always, as little ground is removed as possible to save you time and money.
